The workshop will cover different aspects of ethical research in both the physical and social sciences. How can we assess and improve our carbon footprint? Can we carry out sustainable fieldwork and reduce the amount of flights? What relationship and responsibilities does a researcher have with the local community? What do we have to consider in our communication with them? \nThis specific workshop deals with question concerning ethics and sustainability within Arctic research\, where early career scientists can develop their skills in critical reflection and share their views with other scientists. The idea is to bring together APECS Sweden members and researchers across disciplines within the broad domain of polar research. \nThe workshop starts with introductory talks from three researchers about the different topics. Group-discussions and short concluding presentations will follow.
