Once again, all scientists interested in polar research are invited to meet at the yearly Polarforum, organized by the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat (SPRS). Polarforum is a platform for discussing possibilities and collaborations within Swedish polar research.
The event takes place on November 22 and 23 at the Maritime Museum in Stockholm. For more information about the event and free registration visit SPRS’s website.
APECS workshop at Polarforum
On the second day of Polarforum, APECS Sweden is hosting a workshop for early career scientists. The workshop will include sessions on
- career development
- upcoming funding and expedition calls
- polar safety training
- steering committee elections
SPRS will generously award the first 10 people to register a travel support covering travel costs of up to 1 500 SEK. The requirements for being eligible are
- being based in Sweden
- being based outside of Stockholm and Uppsala counties
- filling in a short motivation statement in the registration form
