During this year’s Polarforum on March 19 we will elect a new APECS Sweden Steering Committee and discuss the agenda and goals for the year(s) to come. Beginning this year, APECS Sweden has a permanent and paid position corresponding to 4 hours per week for organizing our activities. This is truly a great resource for us because it means that we will have the capacity to work harder and in a more long-term manner.
Travel support
Just like last year, the Polar Research Secretariat is arranging travel support for early career scientists to participate in Polarforum, so that our members from outside Stockholm can also participate. Apply for this through the registration to Polarforum (check out polar’s website).
Join the Steering Committee!
We hope that many of our members are interested in becoming a member of the Steering Committee. If you know now that you are interested, please send us an email where you present yourself and your ambitions for APECS Sweden. It will also be possible to express your interest at our meeting during Polarforum.
